This guy’s 50 shades of locked up.

A spectacularly reckless man was busted for cracking a 10-foot whip while strolling through Carroll Gardens, law-enforcement sources said.

José Andujar, 49, was spotted by a plainclothes sergeant at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Court and Luquer streets whipping at the air for five blocks — sending 10 to 15 passers-by fleeing getting lashed.

When asked why, Andujar is said to have told cops, “It’s a whip, not a weapon. I’m just whippin’ it.”

He was cuffed, taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

All things considered, this career criminal would prefer being behind bars.

The 28-year-old Brooklyn man was found bleeding from a stab wound to the stomach shortly before 2 a.m. outside Erotica, an adult-video store on Eighth Avenue and 26th Street, and died at Bellevue Hospital, cops said.

He’d been arrested 71 times on charges ranging from possession of marijuana to assault and robbery, sources said.

The NYPD has increased its presence in the area of late because of a rash of anti-gay attacks, but there was no sign this was a bias crime, the sources added.
