Knicks or knots

Carmelo Anthony: Can opt out after next season, but the Knicks will ride him once again in 2013-14.

Amar’e Stoudemire: Coming off 29-game regular season, was too rusty in playoffs to help, but could return to the starting lineup next season if healthy.

Tyson Chandler: Might be the best trade chip this offseason despite lousy playoffs, but a bed neck/flu may have been postseason factor.

Jason Kidd: Has two years and $6M left on his contract and at age 40 has hinted he won’t fulfill the entire deal, but Knicks don’t want him to retire after playoff horror show.

Raymond Felton: Game 6 clunker doesn’t overshadow a solid season, good playoff run and keeper status.

Pablo Prigioni: Said in January he may return to Spanish League and it’s unclear if anything has changed as Knicks may not have salary exception to re-sign him.

Steve Novak: Got his 4-year, $16M deal last summer and Woodson forgot about him in playoffs.

Chris Copeland: Rookie revelation showed guts in Indiana series as potential prime-time scorer who is looking for nice contract the Knicks may not be able to match.

Kenyon Martin: Free agent who said he’d love to return next season and earned his stripes here.

Marcus Camby: Could be a buyout candidate as he fell out of circle of trust, and plantar fasciitis could be a career-threatening issue.

James White: Was viewed as a LeBron stopper and never got chance to show it in playoffs — a free agent who may be gone.

Earl Barron: Good rebounder, and Knicks need rebounders on the cheap.

Quentin Richardson: Might make a good assistant coach somewhere with a lot of bench spunk.
