R&B singer Miguel got so into his performance last night at the Billboard Music Awards that he attempted to leap from the stage to the catwalk, unfortunately a woman’s head was in the middle of his flight path.

The unlucky fan must have thought she had the best seat in the house as the soul singer leapt directly over her, but he misjudged his leap and nearly crushed her head against the stage with his leg.

Adding insult to injury, Miguel continued performing and when he did turn to apologize to the injured brunette he ended up hugging a big haired blond woman who merely got grazed by the singer’s body.

Thankfully, both fans were OK.

After the show, Miguel was interviewed backstage with one of the fans who was holding an ice pack to her head.

“Well, I think it’s kind of clear what happened,” Miguel said according to the Telegraph.

“But I’m very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met. Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay.”

“The crazy thing is, when you’re performing and you’re just kind of into it, you never know where it’s gonna go and where you’re gonna go with it, and how that might turn out,” he said. “So this is one of the less favorable moments.”
