Victim in Brooklyn DWI dies

A young woman has died from injuries suffered when she was mowed down by a drunk driver in Brooklyn, police sources told The Post yesterday.

Roxanna Gomez, 27, was struck by a 2013 BMW at about 12:20 a.m. on July 5 as she was walking at St. Marks and Flatbush avenues in Park Slope.

She died Wednesday.

The driver, Eric Nesmith, 25, of Newark, NJ, hit the woman a split second after the car in front of him swerved around her.

He stayed on the scene and admitted to cops he had consumed up to six Coronas at a family gathering on the Fourth of July, said a law-enforcement source.

His blood alcohol level was .126, the source said.

Nesmith has been charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

It was unclear if charges would be upgraded due to Gomez’s death.
