Infamous “Baseball Wife” Anna Benson allegedly went batty yesterday when she pulled a gun on her estranged husband, former Mets pitcher Kris Benson, and demanded money, according to reports.
The haggard-looking former Penthouse model and reality-TV star was arrested early yesterday on assault and trespassing charges after she allegedly barged into her husband’s Marietta, Ga., home and threatened him with the firearm and a metal baton, according to TMZ.
Kris managed to slip away and call police, to tell them his wife — wearing a bulletproof vest — was on a rampage, TMZ said.
Anna Benson — who once famously said that she would sleep with all of her hubby’s Mets teammates if he ever cheated on her — allegedly confronted him in his home, despite a court order barring her from the residence.
When Anna, 37, allegedly pulled out the gun and demanded money, Kris, 38, simply said he was stepping out to get some cash, but called the cops instead, according to reports.
A spokesperson for the local sheriff’s department said last night that she was being held without bail at the Cobb County Jail.
The couple’s tumultuous relationship finally went sour for good last year, when Anna filed for divorce.
Anna, who starred on VH1’s “Baseball Wives” in 2011 and 2012, was infamous for her sideshow antics while her husband was a starting pitcher at Shea Stadium about a decade ago.
She made her most infamous headlines in 2004, when she made her threat to bed all the Mets in an interview with shock jock Howard Stern.
“I told [Kris], cheat on me all you want. If you get caught, I’m going to screw everybody on your entire team,” she said.
Anna also reportedly enraged team brass when she showed up at a holiday party for children at Shea Stadium wearing a revealing, red “Mrs. Claus” dress.
The buxom babe also posed topless in Penthouse and admitted to having sex with her hurling hubby in the Shea Stadium parking lot.
Many believed that when Kris Benson was traded from the Mets after the 2005 season, the team’s front office was really looking to unload his blabber-mouth wife as well.
Anna naturally moved on to reality television, where she got in hot water for threatening to beat the wife of former New York Yankee Chuck Knoblauch with a 12-inch sex toy.
But when the Penthouse Pet and mom of four — three with Kris — filed for divorce, it seemed her wild days were behind her.
“I just had a baby two years ago,” she told The Post last July. “The last thing I’m thinking about is banging a bunch of baseball players.”
