It’s elementary: No pills for kids

The Issue: Christine Quinn’s suggestion that the morning-after pill might be made available to 11-year-olds.

***

So Christine Quinn has the answer for 11-year-old girls getting pregnant (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” Editorial, Aug. 22): Distributing the morning-after pill will just make everything go away.

Forget about holding boys, parents and 11-year-old girls accountable for their bodies, their actions and choices that could lead to pregnancy.

Forget about educating those people that having sex at that age is not only a bad thing, but stupid and illegal.

Is it any wonder that New York City has the combo of Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer running for office?

Perverts like them, coupled with simpletons like Quinn, are the best NYC has to offer?

God help this city. It’s going to need it.

The right choice for an 11-year-old is abstinence.

Quinn throws her hands in the air as if there is nothing we can do to help our children make better decisions. How on earth does she expect to lead a city?

New Yorkers, do not abdicate your parental obligations to the government, because this is what you will get: a bad nanny.
