MTA shutting down 2 line four nights in a row in B’klyn

The MTA is shutting down the Nostrand Avenue portion of the 2 line in Brooklyn for four consecutive nights, starting on Monday.

The service suspensions — part of the agency’s Fastrack repairs and maintenance program — will close eight stations in both directions from Franklin Avenue to Flatbush Avenue/Brooklyn College.

The stations will shut down every night at 10 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m.

Officials say that closing the stations allows workers to do repairs more quickly and saves the agency money.
