MLB: Sosa makes Hall pitch

Sammy Sosa in a interview on the website Ustream.com, said he and fellow steroid-tainted star Mark McGwire belong in the Hall of Fame. He also said the Cubs should retire his number, and he left open the possibility of running for president of the Dominican Republic.

The Diamondbacks are discussing a trade of Justin Upton to the Braves. The deal would unite Upton with his older brother, B.J. Upton, who signed as a free agent with Atlanta this winter.

NHL: San Jose signs Gomez

The Sharks signed free-agent center Scott Gomez to a one-year deal. Gomez, who formerly played for the Devils and Rangers, played 38 games for the Canadiens last year.
