Sally LaPointe

The Who: Leandra Medine arrived with a crew of it girls, among them close friend and fashion writer Rachel Strugatz. Much to the delight of shutter-happy photogs, the Man Repeller took a front row seat next Linda Fargo. Not far away, Fashion Bomb Daily blogger Claire Sulmers was typing away on her laptop, while we scored a seat beside model Shaun Ross.

The What: Lots and lots of leather, employed for gators in black and white, a short pink frock, and long overcoats in suede-patent combos. Mohair and wool were dyed and printed for bombers and sweaters, while gowns came in ombré silk. The color palette was primarily black, camel and red.

The Highlight: “The whole red scene was completely to die for,” Ross said of the scarlet statements LaPointe made with her leather, mohair and separates. We concur.

The Takeaway: The horrific weather wouldn’t be so bad wrapped up in these sleek, warm-hued threads.
