Colombian drug king pleads guilty to importing cocaine

A Colombian drug king has pleaded guilty to manufacturing and importing “tons” of cocaine into the United States and other countries over the past two decades.

Yesid Rios Saurez, 46, copped a plea Tuesday in Manhattan federal court to conspiring with others to manufacture tens of thousands of kilograms of cocaine in clandestine Columbian laboratories from 1992 until his September 2011 arrest and then flying it oversees to other nations.

He faces 10 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced June 6.
