He has never pitched at Busch Stadium, but is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in two career starts against the Cardinals.
CARDINALS: Gast, who will be making his major league debut, was the Cardinals’ minor league pitcher of the month of April, making five scoreless starts (3-0) for Triple-A Memphis. Overall, he went 3-1 with a 1.16 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 38 ²/3 innings in seven starts for Memphis.
