Dancer: MJ was in step

LOS ANGELES — A choreographer who worked with Michael Jackson in 2009 testified yesterday that the King of Pop appeared to be on top of his game before he suddenly dropped dead.

Veteran dancer Stacy Walker, hired as associate choreographer for MJ’s ill-fated “This Is It” tour, recalled that the rail-thin Jacko was repeatedly calling in sick to rehearsal — but then got much better before he died on June 25, 2009.

“He was great. I finally saw what I was hoping to see. I was happy and relieved and hopeful,” an emotional Walker said. “I called my mother and told her to buy a ticket.”

Jackson’s family is suing concert promoters AEG Live, claiming the company should be held civilly liable for the Gloved One’s death. His doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and is serving four years behind bars.

“I just never in a million years thought that he would leave us, pass away,” Walker testified.

“That never crossed my mind.”
