Time for Yahoo! to move

Yahoo! is tumbling into the old Times Building on West 43rd Street with a new lease for 176,000 square feet on the 9th through 12th floors of the 16-story building, where it will consolidate its city headquarters.

Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer announced the move as she and Mayor Bloomberg discussed the $1.1 billion Tumblr acquisition at a press event.

The Post first reported the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based tech giant was exploring options at the building.

According to sources, Yahoo! will have the use of expansive terraces on the 9th, 10th and 12th floors.

It will also have flags flying on the West 43rd Street entrance and signage on the cupola of the building, subject to city approval.

The building, owned by Blackstone, was represented by a Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team of Lance Korman, Brian Waterman, Jonathan Tootell and Brent Ozarowski.

Yahoo! is represented by Matt Korner of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Blackstone bought everything from the 4th floor up of the former New York Times headquarters and has targeted tech companies by focusing on the storied building’s numerous large terraces, high ceilings and cool vibe.

Yahoo! which is currently based at both 1540 Broadway and 1065 Ave. of the Americas, will build out the new space before it moves.
