Queens bus-slay ‘target’ is warned: ‘You’re next’

A girl riding a Queens bus with 14-year-old D’aja Robinson when she was fatally shot in the head later received a terrifying text message: “You’re next,” law-enforcement sources told The Post yesterday.

Cops believe the unidentified girl who got the message had been the real target of a gunman who shot up the Q6 bus Saturday, killing D’aja, the sources said.

Police believe the shooting was prompted by a rivalry between two gangs, the sources said.

The girl who got the text is friendly with members of the EBK gang, while the shooter is a member of the rival Snow Gang, the sources said.

Cops tried to question the text message’s recipient, but she was not cooperative, the sources said.

Investigators have also identified several “persons of interest” in the killing.

“We have a couple of people ID’d that we want to talk to, including one possible shooter,” a source told The Post, adding that cops had gotten four solid tips and a photo from Crime Stoppers.

A former schoolmate of D’aja, Keshawna Wallace, 13, said people in the Jamaica neighborhood believe they know who the gunman is.

“People kind of had an idea of who it was,” Keshawna said.

“If the police don’t find him, the south side of Jamaica will. We’re not going to stop until we find the person who killed D’aja.”

The popular teen’s angry grandfather called the callous thug who opened fire on the crowded bus “a stupid kid doing stupid s–t” and predicted the killer “will be caught sooner or later.”
