Nets’ mid-season report card

Alan Anderson: The last player signed this summer has seamlessly flipped between starting and bench roles all season long. Grade: B+

Andray Blatche: Missed four games for personal reasons, but when engaged has been very productive. Grade: B-

Reggie Evans: Hard to see where Evans has a role in small-ball strategy. Is very limited outside of rebounding. Grade: D+

Kevin Garnett: Has played as center in the wake of Brook Lopez’s season-ending injury. Can he keep it up all season now? Grade: C

Joe Johnson: Unspectacular but steady, his play has been a big reason behind their recent surge. Grade: B+

Andrei Kirilenko: Basically missed the first three months of the season (including training camp) because of back spasms. But Nets are 11-3 in games he’s played. Grade: C+

Shaun Livingston: Thriving as a defensive stopper and providing good ball movement offensively. Grade: B-

Brook Lopez: Was having his best all-around season before going down for the season with yet another right foot injury. Grade: B

Paul Pierce: Has largely fit in well. Like Garnett, the switch to the small lineup seems to have helped him, too. Grade: B-

Mason Plumlee: Switch to small lineup has cut deeply into his playing time. Looks like a piece that can be helpful down the road. Grade: B

Tornike Shengelia: Was dealt to Chicago for Marquis Teague. Appears likely headed back to Europe after this season. Grade: Incomplete

Tyshawn Taylor: Barely played, then dealt to save luxury-tax money to New Orleans and then immediately released. Grade: Incomplete

Marquis Teague: Acquired for Shengelia this week, expected to see limited action the rest of the way behind Livingston and Deron Williams. Grade: Incomplete

Mirza Teletovic: An additional shooting threat at power forward to stretch defenses, while also showing an ability to create off the dribble. Grade: B

Jason Terry: Was out several weeks with knee issues. Can still knock down an open 3-pointer, but that’s about it. Grade: C-

Deron Williams: Has dealt with ankle injuries for a second straight season. Nets need him to be healthy and productive rest of the way. Grade: C-

Jason Kidd: Full-time switch to the small lineup has been a master stroke, and suddenly things are working. Grade: C+
