Alien, 1979

Monday, 12:30 p.m., AMC

Don’t you hate it when an alien pops out of your friend’s stomach and then escapes and attempts to eat all your shipmates when you’re flying in deep space? Well, Sigourney Weaver sure does in this, one of the best space movies in a decade filled with sci-fi movie wonders. After a cargo ship gets an SOS signal and investigates, its crew picks up an alien parasite that travels from crew member to crew member with devastating results. Also starring Veronica Cartwright, Tom Skerritt and John Hurt.

The Goodbye Girl, 1977

Monday, 11 p.m., TCM

A single mom/dancer (Marsha Mason) and her daughter are left in the lurch when mom’s boyfriend goes out of town on a gig (sure) and doesn’t mention that he’s sublet the apartment to an actor (Richard Dreyfuss). They reluctantly agree to share the space, although they fight constantly — until they learn to love the enemy. Dreyfuss nailed the Best Actor Oscar for his pain-in-the-butt actor portrayal!

GoodFellas, 1990

Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., Spike

Joe Pesci won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his scary take on a mobster in this Nick Pileggi-penned/Martin Scorsese-directed true tale of mafiosa-sideliner Heny Hill (Ray Liotta, left) and his rise up the ladder of the underworld. Drugs, violence, sex and all bad things add up to a great movie. Also starring Robert De Niro and Lorraine Bracco, who is brilliant as Hill’s wife.

Unfaithful,

2002

Friday. 8:30 a.m., Lifetime

Diane Lane is the gorgeous wife of gorgeous guy (Richard Gere), with whom she has a lovely child. What could be bad in such a charmed life? Oh, right, she starts a hot affair with a man she meets on the street (Olivier Martinez), and so her husband has to kill him. When the cops come sniffing, the lovely couple stands united. Consequences? Not when you’re as good-looking as these two. An intriguing and smart twister of a movie.
