Straight out of a Hitchcock movie: Aggressive mockingbirds attack Greenpoint residents

Brooklyn residents are experiencing a horror straight out of a Hitchcock movie.

Aggressive mockingbirds are attacking people in a Greenpoint park — dive-bombing their heads and yanking out hair with their beaks.

At least six moms with kids in tow have been assaulted in the past month by the nasty little squawkers — who are said to be protecting their nests — inside of Transmitter Park.

“I was taking [my baby] out of the stroller to bring him to the play area, and that’s when the bird got me,” said Ruby Rosser, 34.

“It hurt a little . . . I felt like it was trying to get my hair,” said Rosser, who has since stopped visiting the park.

She said at least six women in her mommy group had experienced the same thing, likely because hair makes the perfect nest padding.

“Another woman had her baby in her arms, so it freaked her out,” Rosser added.

Also pecked was Nathaniel Ziering, 36, who was ambushed while walking his dog.

“I came in through that entrance and I saw a shadow come at my head,” said Ziering. “It came back and landed on my head, so I shooed it away. I was like, ‘What the f–k?’ ”

He quipped, “I guess it was mocking me…I guess it’s mocking all of us.”

It’s the park’s first summer open, so the birds might not be used to humans walking so close to their babies during nesting season, parkgoers said.
