Today

GOOD STUFF: It’s always a good time when the Good Ms. Padgett (a k a Brooklyn’s own Pied Piper Anna Padgett) plays a signature set of sweet, silly, folk-infused songs. Follow the sound to Williamsburg’s Picture Farm Gallery, and be sure to get there early for an all-ages crafts session! Doors open at 4:30 p.m., $8 admission, $25 per family of four (babies free!). 338 Wythe Ave., at North Seventh Street, Brooklyn; 718-218-8001, picturefarmpro.com

WATER WORLD: Feeling parched? Rehydrate with “City of Water Day,” a cross-borough fest devoted to all things aquatic. From water-themed games to experiments in marine biology to free rides on canoes and kayaks, families can have fun soaking up (literally) fascinating facts about the wet stuff — for free! 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Locations vary; see cityofwaterday.org for details.

SUNNY DAY: Slather on the sunscreen and slip on some shades — it’s time for Solar One’s annual EcoArt Family Day, where kids can have eco-friendly fun making recycled arts and crafts like cardboard animal masks and cereal box creatures. Ages 3 and up, free. 24-20 FDR Drive (on the First Avenue side), between 22nd and 23rd streets; 212-505-6050, solar1.org

TOMORROW

GET OUT: Can’t hide from the heat all summer long! Brave the toasty temps at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Family Field Day, where kids and parents alike can run and take part in relay and potato sack races, play soccer and freeze tag, and much more! 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., ages 4 to 10, Main Street at Fulton Ferry Landing; 718-802-0603, brooklynbridgepark.org
