Eminem was ‘really uncomfortable’ on ESPN

Don’t undersell yourself, Em.

Rapper Eminem appeared on ESPN’s Michigan-Notre Dame broadcast Saturday, sharing a bizarre, humorous conversation with football announcers Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit.

Eminem – a Michigan native – was there to promote his latest single, “Berzerk.” Herbstreit asked the musician about his upcoming album, “Marshal Mathers LP 2” (Eminem’s given name).

“What are you most excited about with this new album?” Herbstreit asked.

“Nothing,” Eminem responded, shaking his head. “Nothing … The album will be out Nov. 5, I’ll probably be most excited to be done with it.”

Musburger followed by asking about betting strategy for the NFL’s Detroit Lions. Will the Lions cover 4 ½ in Sunday’s game against the Vikings?

“I’m not sure man, I don’t ever make a prediction on the Lions because I never wanna jinx it, but I’m such a diehard Lions fan so … yes they’ll win. I hope I didn’t just jinx it.”

A bugged-out Eminem then discussed his “fantasy announcer team” – Musburger, Pat Summerall (who’s deceased), John Madden and Al Michaels.

“If you guys would get together and call a game … that would be a dream come true,” he said.

Musburger tried to return the favor, calling the 13-time Grammy winner a legend.

But Eminem wasn’t having it. Instead, he toyed with his headset and said the first thing that came to mind – “I’m really uncomfortable right now.”

The broadcasters chuckled. The men shook hands. And then America wondered what just happened.
