Gambling mom ‘ditches’ daughter in casino gift shop

This mom allegedly thought it was OK to gamble with her kid’s safety.

Carol Grandison, 41, was arrested Saturday after leaving her 9-year-old daughter alone for an hour in the gift shop of the Resorts World Casino in Queens, police said.

The shop’s manager noticed the child was alone and called casino security.

Police busted Grandison and charged her with acting in a manner injurious to a child.

She lives in South Jamaica, not far from the casino, at Acqueduct Racetrack.

The girl was unharmed.

The gambling hall opened in October 2011 and draws thousands of people daily. It recently smashed its own record for revenues — pulling in $71.2 million in revenue in March, with New York state’s cut of that at $31.3 million, according to reports.

A worker who answered the phone at the gift shop declined comment.
