Weird But True

College friends learn they share same sperm-donor dad

Two Tulane University students hit it off so well as freshman friends, they joked about being long-lost sisters.

Then they discovered they really are.

Mikayla Stern-Ellis, 19, and Emily Nappi, 18, knew that they shared the odd circumstance of having been conceived through sperm donation.

Their research showed they both came from the same Colombian sperm donor.

“This is just one of the many amazing gifts she’s gotten from going to Tulane already,” Mikayla’s mom, Heidi Stern-Ellis, told the school paper, The Tulane Hullabaloo.
