Randy Moss: Sherman surpassed Revis as NFL’s best corner

Fox analyst and former Patriots and Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss discusses his transition into broadcasting and the keys to Super Bowl XLVIII with The Post’s Zach Braziller.

Q: Who’s the best receiver in the NFL?

A: It’s up for grabs, it’s up for grabs. I like [Josh] Gordon from Cleveland because he’s working with nothing. … Week in and week out, he doesn’t have a steady quarterback he can rely on each week. I like Morgan, I like Dez Bryant, I still like Megatron [Calvin Johnson].

Q: How would you do against Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman?

A: I’m gonna have a great day, I’m gonna have a great day. I’ve studied Sherman long enough to be able to know his strengths and weaknesses, and I’m not going to sit here and tell you his strengths and weaknesses, but I could maybe come out and make some plays and go from there. He says he’s the best corner in the game. It used to be [Darrelle] Revis. He’s dethroned Revis. Hey, right now, he stands alone.

Q: How have you liked the transition from being a player to a broadcaster?

A: It’s different. It’s been a ride. It’s been a great experience for me because I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I knew what I hear, I know what I see. For me, personally, I was always against the media because of how I was treated, and that’s why right now I don’t want to be a part of the media. I’m a football player, I just talk a little football. I have enjoyed this ride. I’ve been taught a lot by the guys at Fox.

Q: Who’s going to win the Super Bowl?

A: I would like to see [Wes] Welker, get him a ring. Why? Because I played with the guy, I’m a fan of his.

Q: What is the key to the Super Bowl?

A: I think a key factor to this Super Bowl is Percy Harvin, I really do. He’s a big factor we don’t know his health, we don’t know how many snaps he’s going to get. If Seattle has a game plan and all of a sudden he doesn’t show up, that could damper their game plan. … He’s a key factor to this game. It really depends on him, not totally, but plays he’s able to make, he can make them in the kicking game, he can make it in the passing game, they might give him a reverse or something out of the backfield. So I think he’s a factor in this game. He’s huge for Seattle to be able to bring this Super Bowl home.
