Lovely Kate is one hot mommy

Royal mommy Kate Middleton jumped back into public life yesterday, two weeks ahead of schedule and several waist sizes smaller.

Just five weeks after giving birth, the Duchess of Cambridge looked strikingly slim in a blazer and skinny jeans at a surprise appearance with hubby Prince William.

Middleton, who gave birth July 22, dropped by a park near the royal couple’s home on the Welsh island of Anglesey to help kick off the Ring O’ Fire Ultra Marathon — a 135-mile race in which the duke and duchess were definitely not competing.

At least not this time.

Park supervisor Will Stewart said that Kate had told him she was interested in toning up after the baby.

“She said she wants to get back into shape. I said, ‘You don’t need to worry about that.’ She looked great,” he told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper

With baby Prince George at home with Kate’s mom, Carole, William was on hand to ring the race’s opening bell while the duchess greeted spectators.

One spectator, 9-year-old George Bailey, who was visiting from Manchester with his family, caught the duchess off guard, telling her, “I don’t see the point of a royal family.”

Kate appeared taken aback before the boy added, “Until now.”

The royal couple’s schedule had called for a Sept. 12 appearance in London at the Tusk Trust awards gala promoting African wildlife conservation.

Yesterday’s sneak peek was not announced until shortly before William and Kate left the house.

The first sighting prompted the British fashion magazine Tatler to tweet: “The Duchess of Cambridge looking as chic as ever in tweed and BACK in skinny jeans. Jealous, us?”

Well-wishers in the crowd yesterday handed gifts to the passing couple. Confronted with a fresh set of “nappies” — or diapers, for you non-Brits — a grateful, or at least gracious, William said: “We’ve got a lot of these. We can always do with some more.”
