You can’t keep Weiner down.
Disgraced former mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner is set to join NY1’s “Road to City Hall” program tonight as part of the “NY1 Wise Guys” panel, show host Errol Louis announced on air Monday night.
“After Anthony Weiner lost last week, we thought he’d be an interesting choice to be a guest Wise Guy to weigh in on the race for mayor and other issues of the day,” NY1 political director Bob Hardt said in an e-mailed statement.
The former congressman will join former US Sen. Alfonse D’Amato and former Public Advocate Mark Green on the panel.
Weiner will be a guest Wise Guy this week, but won’t be a permanent fixture on the show, NY1 said.
Weiner, who has been caught in sexting scandals both as a congressman and a mayoral candidate — has a reputation for being a fiery TV guest.
Shortly before his mayoral-election defeat last week, he became a viral Internet sensation after he got into an on-air argument with MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell.
Weiner conceded the race last Tuesday after receiving only 4.9 percent of the votes in the Democratic primary.
