Designer Vera Wang tours $50M triplex penthouse

Designer Vera Wang has expensive taste in real estate. The fashion queen — complete with a full-on entourage — recently toured the $50 million triplex penthouse at One Madison.

Wang, who separated from her husband Arthur Becker last year, made news in 2007 when she bought a trophy 740 Park Ave. pad for $23.1 million from the $120 million estate of her late father, Cheng Ching Wang, a Chinese-born mogul who had initially funded her fashion empire.

The One Madison triplex, at 23 E. 22nd St., measures 6,850 square feet and features its own private internal elevator going from the 58th to 60th floors and a 586-square-foot wraparound terrace.

Ritz bits

Real estate mogul and philanthropist Burt Resnick and his wife Judy who live in Rye, sold their pied-a-terre co-op at the Ritz Tower, at 465 Park Ave. for $4.05 million, down from its original $4.9 million asking price. The buyers are Guy Wyser-Pratte, a financial investor/corporate raider and head of Wyser-Pratte & Co., and his wife Karin.

We were the first to report exclusively when Resnick listed the apartment with Douglas Elliman broker Betsy Green earlier this year and bought another higher floor unit at 733 Park Ave. for $8.8 million.

The 2,500-square-foot corner co-op, on the 18th floor, is a combination of two apartments. It is currently configured as a two-bedroom, four-bathroom home with a marble gallery and high ceilings. The new occupants can opt for maid and food service as well.
