Lenny Kravitz will attend ceremony honoring his war-hero uncle

WASHINGTON — Rocker Lenny Kravitz is coming to the White House to honor his Korean War-hero uncle, Leonard M. Kravitz, whom President Obama is awarding a posthumous Medal of Honor.

“He saved his whole platoon,” the musician’s half-sister, Laurie Wenger, told The Post, speaking of her uncle, who unflinchingly took over a machine-gun position during an onslaught.

“The next day, when they came back, they found him slumped over the gun.”

Pfc. Leonard M. Kravitz, the rocker’s namesake, was only 20 when he died in 1951.

Wenger said she’ll be accepting the award as his oldest surviving relative, although her famous half-brother will attend the March 18 ceremony.
