"The Rosebud Egg"In 1895, Faberge trimmed the strawberry red Egg with a diamond Cupid's arrow. The surprise inside was an enameled golden yellow rosebud, a reminder of Alexandra's native country, Germany.

"The Fifteenth Anniversary"Delivered in 1911, it looks back on the 15 years since Nicholas II's coronation. It carries 16 miniatures, seven are portraits of the royal family.

"The Coronation Egg"Crafted in 1897, the surprise was a model of Alexandra's coronation coach decorated in red enamel and diamonds. It's covered in gorgeous opalescent yellow enamel surrounded by black enamaled Romanov eagles.

"The Cuckoo Clock Egg"Presented in 1900, it has a singing bird that rises from the top of the egg when a button is pressed. It references the Pushkin story "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel."

"The Lillies of the Valley Egg"From 1898, its pink enamel is draped with pearls, each a stylized lily of the valley, one of Alexandra's favorite flowers. It contains miniatures of Nicholas, Olga and Tatiana, the czar's two oldest children.

"Order of St. George Egg"Given in 1914, it is made of silver, enameled white and decorated with small St. George crosses. Inside are miniature portraits of Nicholas II and Alexis, the czarevitch, hidden behind panels on the egg's surface.
