Brooklyn Heights residents: packages are vanishing from doorsteps

Brooklyn Heights residents are fed up with a plague of disappearing mail as postal thieves swipe packages from doorsteps.

One angry Brooklynite fired off an “open letter” on Monday to the creep who last weekend pinched a care package decorated with hearts for his daughter.

“Dear Mail Stealing Dirtbag,” wrote Homer Fink, a k a John Loscalzo, publisher of Brooklyn Heights Blog. “You stole something clearly marked for [a] child from her grandmother. You are pure evil.”

Heights resident Liz Tamarkin had a FedEx delivery from Soap.com looted from her doorstep one day last year.

“It must be that people just kind of cruise this neighborhood,” mother-of-two Tamarkin, 42, told The Post.

“I thought it was alarming,” she said. “But probably the fact that our entry way has stuff in it is kind of inviting.”
