O’S ROOM AT THE INN

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama and his family will stay at Washington’s second-finest address – the Hay-Adams Hotel – while they wait for President Bush to vacate the White House, officials said yesterday.

A suite at the Hay-Adams, which boasts magnificent views of the White House just across Lafayette Square and other landmarks in the background, will become the family’s home this weekend so that daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, can begin classes Monday at a private school in the area.

Suites at the Hay-Adams – which can go for up to $3,200 a night – feature marble bathrooms, intricately carved plaster ceilings and ornamental fireplaces.

The Presidential Suite includes a penthouse and a master bedroom with a spectacular view of the White House.

The Italian Renaissance-style hotel also features custom Italian bed linens and bath towels, as well as goose down comforters and pillows.
