Elderly man ‘killed roommate with wheelchair foot rest’

It’s curtains for two Queens codgers.

The feisty seniors got into a bitter feud over the plastic curtain that divides their nursing-home room — and it ended with one beaten to death with a wheelchair footrest and the other locked up for murder.

“This one was horrible,” a law-enforcement source said of the crime scene — the men’s blood-splattered room at the Ocean Promenade Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (above) in the Rockaways.

Tragic victim Kailall Singh, 71, and his alleged killer, Thomas Yarnavick, 66, fought over their living space at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

One wanted the curtain that divided their third- floor room to be open, and one wanted it closed, according to law-enforcement sources.

The two had been roommates since the summer, and argued frequently.

Singh was struck so hard in the head with the detachable footrest that he died of blunt force trauma, sources said.

Yarnavick was arrested at the scene and is being charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon — the wheelchair part.
