THE FAMILIES BIZ RAKING IT IN

Public advocate hopeful Bill de Blasio is paying the for-profit arm of the Working Families Party $40,000 for a slew of services, one of several contracts with the company that appear to have varying rates for different candidates, records show.

According to a copy of de Blasio’s one contract on file with the city Campaign Finance Board, the Brooklyn city councilman is paying Data and Field Services $33,740 for a borough coordinator and a “manager” for the summer.

There also is $2,000 for part-time field staff, $1,000 for “part-time rental of staging area and phone lines” and $5,000 for the voter file, which lists specific people to contact as campaigns troll for votes.

In the case of City Council candidate Brad Lander, one of his two DFS contracts on file with the board provides a full-time campaign manager and part-time adviser for $14,600, from May 7 through the Sept. 15 primary. A second shows him paying $33,500 for a “door-to-door professional canvass” and $3,600 for a full-time organizer.

WFP officials said different staffers are paid at varying rates based on their levels of experience and time working on the campaign.
