RUDY’S SON PAR-FECTO AS A PRO

He has his father’s drive — and his winning ways.

Andrew Giuliani, the son of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, won his first tournament as a professional golfer yesterday, taking the Met Open Championship in New Jersey at the Ridgewood Country Club by one stroke.

“This is a big-time first step,” Giuliani, 23, said.

“To win a championship like this for my first pro victory in my home area, it’s just awesome. It’s the culmination of a lot of work I’ve been doing on my game and hopefully, it’s a step onto even greater things in the future.”

Unlike his father, who hasn’t revealed his future political plans, such as a possible run for governor next year, Andrew has said he hopes to qualify for the PGA Tour.

It’s quite a turnaround after a string of embarrassments for Andrew, who was kicked off the golf team at Duke University in his junior year.

He sued, but a North Carolina federal judge threw the case out.
