A car that was clearing a path for Vice President Joe Biden’s motorcade in Midtown was involved in a crash with a livery cab yesterday, injuring three people.
Biden was about 10 minutes away from the accident scene at West 49th Street and 10th Avenue.
Cops had halted traffic on 10th, but the cabdriver went around the stop point, sources said. He drove into the intersection as Biden’s advance cars, which were not part of his official motorcade, approached. One of the advance cars struck the cab.
Two NYPD officers and the cabdriver were treated at Roosevelt Hospital and released.
