OFFENSE: RB Thomas Jones (24 carries, 99 yards, and two TDs) had a 33-yard TD run that was blocked beautifully by RG Brandon Moore and FB Tony Richardson. Jones also scored on a 7-yard run. The Jets rushed for 175 yards on 42 carries. QB Kellen Clemens (12-for-23, 111 yards) didn’t turn the ball over. B-

DEFENSE: LB David Harris picked off Bucs QB Josh Freeman (14-33, 93 yards, three INTs, 12.1 rating) on the first play from scrimmage, leading to a field goal. The Jets held Tampa Bay without a first down until 9:11 remained in the third quarter. CB Darrelle Revis picked off Freeman in the fourth quarter and safety Kerry Rhodes added another. SPECIAL TEAMS: Brad Smith perfectly executed a fake punt in the first quarter taking a direct snap and throwing a nice touch pass to safety Eric Smith for a 27-yard gain. Jay Feely was successful on field goals of 40, 24, 49 and 49 yards in the first half and missed a 49-yarder because of a high snap. The Jets allowed Tampa Bay to recover an onsides kick in the third quarter. B

COACHING: Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer kept it simple on offense for Clemens, and it worked. Credit Ryan and defensive coordinator Mike Pettine with a solid game plan. A
