There will be ‘Blood’

HBO yesterday announced that it will renew the steamy vampire drama “True Blood” for a fourth season.

The news comes just a week after the third season premiere of “True Blood,” which attracted 5.1 million viewers.

It is the biggest hit HBO has had since the end of “The Sopranos” three years ago.

Season 4 is expected to begin filming early next year for a summer 2011 debut.

“True Blood” takes place in the near future, in which vampires live among humans and survive on mass-produced synthetic blood.

It stars real-life couple Anna Pacquin and Stephen Moyer.
