Ryan more hated than Saban, Belichick in Miami

Miami fans have given a big middle finger to Rex Ryan.

A poll being conducted by a Dolphins-related website asked users who they hate most, and Ryan was a runaway leader over such villains as Nick Saban and Bill Belichick.

Ryan had 40 percent of votes cast at Thephinsider.com, ahead of the 28 percent for Saban, who ditched the Dolphins to become head coach at Alabama after vowing he would not leave.

Belichick was third at 12 percent. Jason Taylor, who left the Dolphins to sign with the Jets this season, had 1 percent.

Other candidates were Tom Brady (6 percent), Mark Sanchez (3 percent), Bart Scott/Calvin Pace (2 percent), and Brett Favre (2 percent).

Ryan is described by the website as “your typical fat, obnoxious loud-mouth.” The Jets coach challenged Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder to a fight before last season and this winter had an altercation at an MMA event, when he gave a Dolphins fan the finger.

Of Saban, who left Miami in 2006, the site says, “When you hear the stories of how poorly Saban treated people during his days in Miami, it’s easy to still dislike this tool.”
