‘Kid-slay’ psycho’s kill threat

Less than two weeks before allegedly stabbing a 10-year-old boy to death as they played a video game, Alejandro Morales paced back and forth in a Times Square movie theater muttering, “I feel like killing someone,” his mother told The Post yesterday.

The accused killer is a schizophrenic who, despite medication and treatment, has gone through uncontrollable streaks of violence, Antonia Morales said.

“I don’t know what happened with my son, but it was not about a video game,” she said.

He spoke of murder during a psychotic episode late on Christmas Eve while watching “Sherlock Holmes,” his mother said.

He was sent to a treatment facility afterward, but released because there weren’t enough beds, she said. She did not recall the name of the facility.

Nine days later, Morales fatally stabbed Antonio Maldonado in a Harlem apartment Morales shared with some of the boy’s relatives, police said.

Antonio, of Palisades Park, NJ, had been staying with an aunt and uncle.

They were sleeping in the next room when the horrific attack occurred. The wounded child woke them up to say he had been stabbed, and died soon afterward, relative said.

The boy’s funeral is today at Blackley Funeral Home in Palisades Park.
