Levi Johnston ordered to pay Bristol Palin more than $21K in child support: Report

Bristol Palin has won a legal battle in Alaska over claims her son’s father Levi Johnston lied about his income to avoid paying enough children support, TMZ reported Monday.

Palin – the 19-year-old daughter of former Governor of Alaska and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin – slammed legal documents filed by Johnston which claimed he made a pittance over the last few years and should not have to meet her demands to pay US$1750 a month for their son Tripp.

An Alaska judge ordered Johnston to pay $21,561.12 he owed Palin and $1750 a month in child support payments.

Bristol’s lawyer told TMZ Johnston’s attorney recently delivered at check for the full amount.

Johnston, 19, had claimed the most he has made in recent years is about $101,000, last year – but Palin didn’t believe him and her lawyer issued subpoenas to CNN, Playgirl, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Star Magazine, and The National Enquirer asking for hard figures on how much they paid him for various interviews and photoshoots.

Palin’s lawyer alleged Johnston claimed that he made no more than $10,000 a year prior to 2009. But Palin’s lawyer claimed to have a pay slip from 2008, which revealed he made $18,594.50 from a construction company in Alaska.

Palin gave birth to their son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston in December 2008 at age 17. She is now an advocate for abstinence and speaks out against teen pregnancy.

At the opening day of the 2008 Republican National Convention, it was announced that Palin was pregnant and was planning to marry Johnston – but they ended their engagement in March 2009.
