Splittin’

Fashion mogul Elie Tahari, who runs his $500 million eponymous company, and his wife, Rory, are quietly trying to sell more than $70 million worth of property. And we hear that the 10-year marriage between the couple, who are 20 years apart, could be on the rocks. (There are whispers that the marriage might have come with a prenuptial agreement that ends after 10 years.)

The Taharis want to unload their penthouse at 860 Fifth Ave. (filled with black granite and Buddhas), which could be worth around $10 million. Also up for grabs is the entire 51st floor of 1 Central Park West, which is estimated to be worth at least $18 million.

In addition, as we reported exclusively two weeks ago, the Taharis’ 9,600-square-foot trophy loft on Prince Street has generated interest at around $22 million.

The would-be selling spree extends to the East End, where an oceanfront property on Marine Boulevard in Amagansett is available. That five-bedroom home, purchased in Rory’s name, is priced at $6.8 million. The Taharis also own an oceanfront home on Crestview Lane in Sagaponack, where they’ve hosted many glamorous parties, which they bought for $13.5 million. They seem ready to sell this, as well.

We also hear that Elie is trying to get out of commercial leases in New York City and trying to sell the building that houses his store in East Hampton.

Screen grab

Screenwriter Paul Schrader has just closed on a $1.9 million, three-bedroom, 2½-bath condo at 350 W. 23rd St., the glassy building known as Modern23. Schrader, who wrote “Taxi Driver,” has also directed films including “American Gigolo.”

West go!

Congrats to Brown Harris Stevens’ brokers Wendy Maitland and Reid Price. Less than three weeks after their $19.5 million listing at 26 W. 76th St. made it into our column, the nearly 10,000-square-foot limestone townhouse went into contract. Developer Adam Gordon would not reveal the buyer’s name due to a confidentiality agreement.

Realty TV

“Selling New York,” the reality show with brokers from Core and Gumley Haft Kleier, premieres next Thursday on HGTV. We were with Michele Kleier at the shooting of the finale last week at 995 Fifth Ave. For the premiere, Core filmed a party at 52 E. Fourth St., where a couple bought the model unit for $2.1 million, says broker John Gomes.

Whoa, Henry

Billionaire and new daddy Henry Silverman is gobbling up all sorts of pricey real estate. Silverman, 69, who once ran Cendant (owner of big real estate companies including the Corcoran Group) has spent $900,000 on a Hamptons summer rental and also bought 381 Hedges Lane in Sagaponack for $14 million. (Hamptons broker Susan Breitenbach of the Corcoran Group had no comment.) And now he’s looking to buy something in Manhattan, as well.

Silverman’s gal pal Karen Hader, a yoga instructor he met at Starbucks two summers ago, just had his baby boy. But his wife of 30 years, Nancy, still lives in the fancy digs she once shared with Silverman on East 72nd Street — their bitter divorce is still in progress. We’re told that Silverman and Hader love his $40,000-a-month, 35th-floor rental at 15 Central Park West so much that he’s looking to buy something similar in the $28 million range. For now, the lovebirds share the floor with Alex Rodriguez.
