A driver struck and killed a 23-year-old man in Tremont early Friday morning and fled the scene, police said.
Investigators are seeking descriptions of the car and driver that struck the man on the Cross Bronx Expressway, near Third Avenue, at 12:25 a.m., cops said.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police have not released his name because his family has not been notified.
The hit-and-run driver is believed to have been traveling in the northbound lane of the Expressway, according to police.
