TBS has greenlit a comedy pilot written and executive produced by Steve Carell (“The Office”) and his wife, Nancy.
Titled “Tribeca,” the half-hour pilot will take a satirical look at the police procedural genre centering on Angie Tribeca, a 10-year veteran of the LAPD’s RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit), according to reports.
The comedy “explores an eccentric but brilliant group of people who investigate crime, reveal way too much personal information, and refuse to rest until justice has been served . . . sort of.”
Carell — who next stars in “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” out Dec. 20 — will direct the pilot, and his company, Carousel Television, is producing.
