Cops use snapshot to track alleged phone thieves

Their photo description should be: “Right before jail.”

Two cocky crooks used a stolen cellphone to snap a photo of themselves flaunting a wad of cash — but the image was automatically synced to the victim’s photo-sharing account, leading to their arrests, police sources said on Friday.

Bragging bandits Tyquan Solomon,19, and Terrance Sistrunk, 16, swiped $205 and an iPhone from a 22-year-old man walking home on Auburn Place near North Portland Avenue in Fort Greene around 1 a.m. on Feb. 2, police sources said.

To celebrate, the Solomon lit a cigarette and whipped out a stack of 20 dollar bills while Sistrunk struck a pose with his head cocked back arrogantly.

A pal then snapped a photo of the pair in a dimly-lit bedroom, next to a pile of dirty socks, according to police sources and the photo.

But the cash flashers’ moment of glory was spoiled after the photo was automatically uploaded to the victim’s iCloud, prompting cops to use the image to track them down.

Solomon was arrested two days after the robbery, on Feb. 4, and Terrance was nabbed on Wednesday, cops said.

Both confessed to the crime, police sources said.

Cops also linked them to other mugging cases in the Fort Greene area.
