Psych evaluation ordered for Dina Lohan in DWI case

Drama mama Dina Lohan continues to claim the media drove her to drink – and now a judge has ordered her to see a shrink.

At a Long Island court hearing on her DWI charge Thursday morning, Lohan was ordered by Judge Andrew Engel to undergo a full psychological exam by a court-appointed doctor.

Her lawyer, Mark Heller, said the troubled mom of four is “free of any alcohol or substance abuse issues’’ and reiterated Lohan’s previous “media made me do it” defense, reading from a report he said was prepared by a court evaluator.

“The circumstances leading to Dina’s arrest were largely impacted by ongoing daily stresses caused by you folks, the paparazzi, media attention and distorted tabloid character profiles,” Heller claimed.

“After meeting Dina and her family and witnessing the care, compassion and concern shared between family members, it is my hope that the courts will take the circumstances and challenges of Dina’s lifestyle under consideration in prosecuting this case.”

Lohan has pleaded not guilty to DWI charges after being pulled over for speeding on the Northern State Parkway in September. Cops said her blood-alcohol content was twice the legal limit.

After the hearing, Heller continued to defend Lohan, 51, and predicted “a very good resolution” to the case.

“Everything went very well in court today. The judge was very pleasant with us and Dina and I are hopeful that there’s going to be an appropriate conclusion that will bring closure to this case,” he said.

“She has never, ever in her life, even been issued a parking ticket and the judge obviously noticed that,” he continued. “It was very apparent that he is going to be treating her in an evenhanded manner. The judge said to me that it’s his objective to treat each defendant fairly without any favoritism, for any reasons and I’m confident that he’s going to do just that for Dina.’’

Heller said Lohan is more concerned at the moment with the Norman Rockwell-esque Thanksgiving she has planned with her family, including trainwreck daughter Lindsay.

“Right now, Dina is focusing on preparing the turkey for her beautiful family and expects that Lindsay, Michael [and] all her other children are going to be there,” he said.

“And they’re going to have a nice celebration. [She] is focusing on her turkey dinner and stuffing.”
