‘BUFFY” creator Joss Whedon says he is bringing back the character of Spike – the bleach-blond vampire who fell for the Slayer – for a TV movie.
“I haven’t left the Buffyverse behind,” Whedon said this week.
He’s “been talking to some of the actors, writers and some executives and trying to put something together,” he told a fan Web site.
The return of Spike has long been rumored – not least because Sarah Michelle Gellar says she’s not interested in reviving her Buffy role and David Boreanaz, who created the role of Angel in the original show and a spinoff, has a new series, called “Bones,” this season.
James Marsters, who played Spike, has yet to land a new show.
