TYRA’S STALKER GUILTY

A deranged drifter was convicted yesterday of stalking supermodel and TV host Tyra Banks — but he won’t become America’s next top inmate, because a judge wants him counseled, not jailed.

It took the judge just 10 minutes to convict Brady Green, 39, of stalking and harassment for repeatedly calling Banks’ talk show, sending her flowers and traveling cross-country to meet her.

“The behavior was hounding,” said Judge James Burke, who heard the case in Manhattan without a jury.

Green had faced up to 90 days in jail, but Burke ruled that he’d be better served by receiving psychiatric counseling.

Burke ordered him back to court on June 18 to be formally sentenced.

The Tyra-obsessive declined to comment as he left court.

Green’s lawyer, Jeffrey Berman — who had argued his client was an “inspired fan,” not a stalker — said he plans to appeal.

Banks, 35, was not present for the verdict, and a spokeswoman declined comment.

But the striking former catwalker, who now hosts both “America’s Next Top Model” and “The Tyra Banks Show,” was forced to face Green when she testified Wednesday.

“I fear for my safety,” she said as she described how her staff had to barricade her into her dressing room on March 18, 2008, as Green skulked near her Manhattan studio.

Green was put on a “do not admit” list after sending Banks alarming packages with notes that read, “When I see you, I love you.”

When he was arrested, Green told cops he and Banks “had a thing together.”

In closing arguments yesterday morning, prosecutor Sean McMahon dismissed that notion, saying, “He had no relationship with her whatsoever, except for in his head.”
