GUILTY AS ‘CHARRED’

The owner of a popular Bronx steakhouse pleaded guilty to tax charges yesterday after the city held her to the flame.

A city audit revealed Margaret Ryan, 55, the owner of Jake’s Steakhouse in Riverdale and the restaurant’s corporate entity owed $525,000 in back taxes, fines and penalties.

Discrepancies were found in the sales records she kept on her books compared to what she reported to the city and state.

Ryan agreed to pay back the money that was owed for the years 2004 to 2007, and plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge.

She did not immediately return a call for comment.

Jake’s Steakhouse, which overlooks Van Cortlandt Park, is considered one of the most upscale restaurants in the borough.
