Tar Heels will stomp Pitt

North Carolina (pick) over PITTSBURGH: How big is Pitt’s win over Notre Dame on prime-time national TV? Well, the Panthers had lost three of their previous four games, and while they beat FCS foe Old Dominion, they failed to cover the Las Vegas expectations in each. The Tar Heels have won three straight and have beaten the Vegas expectations four in a row. When comparing these two teams over the last four games North Carolina is +53 yards per game, while Pittsburgh is -39 yards per game. In this game, I’ll pick the better club with the better stats while also playing against Pittsburgh in a letdown situation.

KANSAS STATE (-10¹/₂) over Tcu: TCU came into this season ranked 20th and since then it has been all downhill. The Horned Frogs are 2-6 against BCS teams, and the pair of wins came against Iowa State and Kansas, a combined 3-15. Kansas State has momentum, winning three in a row and covering five straight games while also beating all three teams that have a losing record by 29 points per game. Kansas State has the obvious edge by comparing each team’s last four games, as I often do in November. The Wildcats have outgained their foes by 46 yards per game and outscored them by 12.5 points per game while the Horned Frogs have been outgained by 34 yards per game and outscored by nine points per game.
