It’s eBay for world’s mega rich

A new auction site aimed at the super rich is just another clearinghouse — for $10 million yachts and $25 million mansions.

The minimum bid on Billionairexchange.com is $1,000, but asking prices can run up to $50 million, for a Mexican resort.

“Our target is the affluent to the ultra-affluent,” said co-founder Quintin Thompson. “Right now, there is no trusted platform to facilitate transactions at this level.”

Unlike eBay, this site guarantees all items’ authenticity and won’t release payment until the goods are delivered.

“If a $30 lamp doesn’t show up, you’re not going to be too crushed, but a $50,000 watch is a different story,” said Thompson.

For rich folks looking to trade down, the site offers a worldwide audience.

“If you sell a Hermes bag at a flea market, you’re not going to get 30 grand, but here you may,” Thompson said, adding that he’s already “facilitated” more than $180 million in sales.

The site — which collects up to a 5 percent fee per sale — also claims to have 26,000 multimillionaires and “nearly a dozen” billionaires signed up.
