Jon Gosselin says he’s too famous to find a regular job

Being famous has led reality TV star Jon Gosselin to think that he can’t go out and get a regular job.

In court papers obtained by the celebrity Web site RadarOnline.com, Gosselin, who is battling cable network TLC in a breach of contract suit, said the reason he can’t get a regular job is because he’s too famous.

In an affidavit filed as part of the lawsuit in Maryland, Gosselin said, “Now, I find myself unemployed and without the ability to secure non-entertainment related engagements because the enormous media interest, cameras, reporters and public interest makes it impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily Media intrusions that has impeded by life.”

He also said that TLC staged scenes for “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” saying, “Representatives and agents … rehearsed and staged scenes, directed our actions and suggested dialogue, words, responses and conduct.”

Last month, TLC sued Gosselin, saying he breached his contract with the cable network.

The lawsuit alleged that Gosselin has failed to meet his obligations as an exclusive employee of the network while at the same time appearing on rival networks’ programs for pay and making unauthorized public disclosures about the show.

Gosselin has starred since 2007 on “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which was a ratings hit for the network but then was rocked as Gosselin and his wife, Kate, feuded and then finally filed for divorce.
