Get a bite of the fest

DIDN’T score tickets to Paula Deen’s sold-out “Down South Up North” bash? There are plenty of other ways to enjoy the New York City Wine & Food Festival, which runs tomorrow through Sunday at venues across the city:

* As of press time, tickets were still available to Friday night’s “Meatpacking Uncorked” walk-around wine tasting ($65), Saturday night’s champagne-and-sugar extravaganza “Sweet” ($175) and dozens of other events. For the most up-to-date list, go to nycwineandfoodfestival.com.

* Drop by the Welcome Center at 15th Street and 10th Avenue starting Friday at 10 a.m. to purchase last-minute tickets and to meet Food Network celebrity chefs, who will be signing books throughout the weekend.

* A free “Family Lounge” in the Chelsea Market will offer a “Y Water” bar, face painters and the Food Network’s new Wii game “Cook or Be Cooked.”

* There will also be free coffee tastings at the Illy Push Button House at Little West 12th Street and Ninth Avenue, as well as a special farmers market at the Triangle at 14th Street and Ninth Avenue on Saturday and Sunday.
